Liverpool will face off against rival Newcastle United on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Liverpool, coming out of a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Liverpool representative Brendan Rodgers told several reporters during a press conference that he is preparing his squad for a game that might be more difficult than expected.

"It will be a tough match for us but we're looking forward to it. We just need to maintain our commitment. We know every game is a cup final for us this season," he mentioned according to VitalFootball.com

"There will be even greater motivation from our perspective, because we know that Newcastle are coming off the back of a really good result at Cardiff. It hasn't been so easy for them at home. It's a difficult place - you've got some 50,000 really passionate supporters who demand that you play attacking football."

Newcastle United, coming out of a 2-1 victory over Cardiff City, is slated as the underdog in the match but is rumored to give Liverpool good competition.

Newcastle United is expected to place Krul, Debuchy, Taylor, Williamson, Santon, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko, Gouffran and Remy in the starting line-up.
