2014 NBA Season Predictions: Miami Heat Looking To Dominate With 3-1 Record In Pre-Season

The Miami Heat are looking to dominate the upcoming NBA season as they look for a three-peat in the upcoming 2014 NBA tournament. The defending champions are currently dominating the pre-season with three straight wins alongside other elite teams.

The LeBron James led team are currently holding a 3-1 win loss record in the pre-season games after falling short to the Washington Wizards after a miraculous effort from Bradley Beal and a frustrating 23 turnover filled game for the defending champions.

The Wizards shooting guard finished with 29 points after starting with two straight losses.

"Those careless turnovers and then a few possessions when the game was still in the balance where we just didn't move the ball. We didn't share the ball." Said Heat Coach, Erik Spoelstra. “We were careless with the ball,” he added.

Last year’s basketball champions are hoping to repeat the dominating seasons they had for two years after acquiring the “Big Three,” that consists of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh alongside the acquisition of new dominant players in the league today, including Michael Beasley, Ray Allen and Greg Oden, to name a few.

Other teams expected to dominate the 2014 season are the Oklahoma Thunder, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls among others.

The Oklahoma Thunder are back with a healthy Russell Westbrook after sustaining a season ending knee injury last season which held the 2012 runner up team from competing in the western conference finals last year. Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka and Kendrick among others will not allow another frustrating season come their way as they will redeem themselves from a testing finish last year. They are currently 3-0 in the pre-season.

With the new acquisition of Dwight Howard to the team, the Houston Rockets are also looking for a great season this coming tournament. Howard may not seem to dominate in the Lakers lineup with superstar Kobe Bryant last year is looking fit for his new team alongside James Harden as they start the pre-season games with a 2-1 record.

The Brooklyn Nets are also looking at the big prize after acquiring two-thirds of the Boston Celtics’ big three. Added to the older but solid starting five of the Nets are the deep bench players led by Jason Terry, who started with a 3-1 record.

The much anticipated return of Derrick Rose after missing the entire season last year due to an ACL injury came to an end as the defensive team of the Chicago Bulls returns to dominate the pre-season games with a 3-0 record, the only unbeaten team in the eastern conference division.
