Kate Middleton’s Favorite Discount Store Finally Revealed: Clerks Say That The Duchess Of Cambridge Shops Like A Commoner And Leaves Her Security Outside

Despite having images of glamour and opulence, the Duchess of Cambridge has a penchant for discount shopping at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire. The quaint village is home to more than 130 shopping outlets including discounted designer boutiques.

Of all the shops in the highly-acclaimed shopping destination, Catherine Middleton's favorite is UK's high-street label store, Reiss. In most of her previous royal engagements, the duchess has opted for Reiss dresses. During her first encounter with power couple Barack and Michelle Obama at in 2011, she wore a beige dress from the label that is worth £175.

Bargain book author Mark Ellwood reveals that Prince William's wife indeed loves to check out the shop's discounted stocks frequently: "I went into Reiss to buy a sweater I bought at retail in navy and they had it in brown for £20. I got chatting to a beautiful English rose behind the counter and asked why they were so many Chinese shoppers in the store - there are no Reiss stores in China - and she said: 'Oh, it's Kate Middleton - she's in here all the time."

The clerk also added that Middleton does not want to have special attention whenever she's shopping: "You have no idea she's there and security must be outside, but she comes in all the time. And she's totally different to the Prince of Thailand, who I heard shut down a restaurant and brought his own staff when he visited Bicester."

Designer Vivienne Westwood has also previously praised Middleton for repeating clothes because such habit radiated positive image to people that they shouldn't spend excessively.
