‘Insidious 2’ Star Rose Byrne Reunites With ‘Bridesmaids’ Director And Co-Star Melissa McCarthy For ‘Susan Cooper’

Rose Byrne will continue her streak of good movies despite her notable absence in "X-Men: Days of Future Past".

She was seen recently in "Insidious 2" and "The Internship." Byrne has agreed to reunite with "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig and co-star Melissa McCarthy in the spy comedy movie "Susan Cooper"

McCarthy and Feig had great success in their last team-up, the surprise hit "The Heat." The female buddy-comedy opened up the genre and established McCarthy as a possible lead star.

In "The Heat" McCarthy played a wise cracking cop. Now, in Susan Cooper, McCarthy will play a spy, which seems totally off her element.

In a recent interview with Yahoo, Byrne shares some personal stories:

What do you think you would be doing if you weren't acting? "I think I might have been a teacher. I was always stronger in the humanities subjects. I was always passionate about English and History rather than maths, which is so opposite to my dad, who is a total numbers freak and mathematical genius. Unfortunately none of his children got that talent, so he's still a bit confused about how he ended up with all these wandering artists."

You've said you were a born worrier. Acting seems like an unlikely profession for a worrier: "I was always really goofy as a kid and it was more that I was always drawn to the arts. My parents aren't particularly artistic but I felt very lucky to find a community in acting in Australia and now even living over here. I feel very blessed to be here."

I read that your dad was a clown? "Yeah, part time. He does it in Tasmania."

Is that where your comic timing comes from? "[Laughs] My parents both have incredibly healthy senses of humour and I credit them completely with passing that on to all of their kids."
