Rihanna’s Tweets Resulted To The Arrest Of Bar Owner In Thailand; Thai Policemen Think ‘Diamonds’ Singer Is A Great Help In Jailing The Country’s Bad Guys

Rihanna has again unintentionally assisted authorities in arresting law violators. The Barbadian singer's seemingly innocent tweets in September have caused Thai policemen to arrest a bar owner for allegedly organizing a sex show.

The 25-year-old Grammy was in Thailand last September 21 when she wrote a series of tweets describing a lewd act that she was seeing that time at a club in Phuket. Her tweets alarmed policemen and gave them hints that something inappropriate was going on in Phuket.

"It was the result of the visit by Rihanna. Authorities found out about this bar the morning after Rihanna tweeted about it, but we were not able to catch them violating the law until Saturday night. We had been waiting for them and finally caught them red-handed," said local district chief Veera Kerdsirimongkol.

Because of running a nude show that involves disturbing props, the bar owner now faces charges for obscenity as well as for operating a business that does not have a permit. If found guilty, the bar owner will not only serve one month in jail but will likewise pay a fine worth 60,000 Thai baht.

"It's like a cat-and-mouse game. But this time it's bigger because a celebrity like Rihanna posted the picture, and there were more than 200,000 'likes' from around the world," added the district chief.

This will be the second time Rihanna has helped Thai policemen to catch law-breaking citizens. When RiRi posted a photo of her next to a slow loris on Instagram, the authorities have arrested individuals for the possession of the protected animals
