Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Reportedly Sold 5 Million Units During First Month, Poised To Overtake Predecessors' 'Record' Sales

Last month, Samsung unveiled its third-generation Galaxy Note phablet. No one knew it would be such an accomplishment for the Korean manufacturer after it received bland remarks from consumers and investors following the release of the original Note. Fast forward to 2013 and the phablet niche is already widely accepted, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the epitome of what a phablet should be.

As a result, it comes to no surprise that the current Note 3 phone has already surpassed the 5 million mark in terms of sales. According to a Korean publication, Samsung's president himself reported the progress of the Note 3.

Hankooki quoted the Samsung executive who delivered the good news.

In comparison, the first ever Galaxy Note took over 5 months just to 'ship' 5 million units, and that does not even mean those units were sold right away. Meanwhile, the Note 2 performed better after it sold 3 million units during its first month.

With the way the Galaxy Note 3 is performing, it would not be impossible to see it shattering sales records once more.
