NBA Highlights Sixers: 76ers Guard Evan Turner Upset About His Contract And Future With The Team: “Hinkie is not my GM,” Sixers Remain Unbeaten

Philadelphia 76ers starter Evan Turner is upset about his contract for he is not sure what the team's plan for him especially he is going to be a free agent soon.

With their new general manager Sam Hinkie, Turner is worried about the direction of his career. He said that he doesn't recognize Hinkie as his GM.

"Sam Hinkie is not my GM. He doesn't owe me anything," Turner said before their game against the Wizards.

"He has his own plan for stuff, and that's pretty much it," he told the Philadelphia Inquirer that his contract wasn't going in any direction.

"There was nothing whatsoever," the Sixers guard told Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia newspaper. "Nothing was done. That's it. There was nothing to talk about. There was no discussion."

He also addressed his concerns about the management trading star players that might bring the team to victory. Just like how the Sixers dropped Jrue Holiday for future picks in the future drafts.

"I really don't know, to tell you the truth," the future free agent said. "[Hinkie] just traded Jrue, and Jrue is like a walking legend, you know what I'm saying? Even Wilt Chamberlain got traded, right?"

Despite the distraction about his contract, Evan said he just continues on his life and work and he is not letting the commotion take over his game.

"I just show up and work hard," Turner said. "I'll be somewhere next year, so all that other stuff doesn't bother me."

The Sixers are now 3-0 coming into the new season defeating favored teams like Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls in two close games.

The Philadelphia team was voted to not do good during the preseason by critics. With the team work of Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and rookie Michael Carter-Williams, they are set to prove critics and non-believers wrong by starting strong in the season.
