"We can be very good," forward Kevin Love said of the defense to ESPN. "We can be very good. But I've learned not to look too far into the future. I just want to take it day by day."

Love had 24 points and 12 rebounds Friday, has missed the last two meetings with the Knicks after averaging 32.0 points and 22.3 boards over the previous three, according to ESPN.

The Knicks came a shot away by their star Carmelo Anthony at the end of regulation against the Bulls on Thursday, though he came up just short, almost making N.Y. 2-0.

"I got the look I wanted," Anthony, who finished with 22 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals said.
