Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Coming To Over 70 Devices With New CyanogenMod 10.2 M1, Kit Kat Coming Soon

If you have a phone that is more than a year old, it may not see the light of day that is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or even version 4.4 KitKat, but the guys at CyanogenMod think otherwise. In a blog post on Friday, the CyanogenMod 10.2 M1 is already 'hitting servers' and would roll out on over 70 Android devices.

For the past couple of years, the CyanogenMod team as worked wonders in bringing fresh versions of Android to otherwise obsolete Droids from both well-known and local brands.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the M in the build version stands for 'Milestone'. And just like recent releases from the team, an M2 version is expected to be underway, which would reduce or totally eliminate bugs and other performance issues.

The blog post also mentioned that the CyanogenMod team is already working on the Android 4.4 KitKat update. Though we still don't know when they will roll out the update, it gives us a glimpse of hope that we'll be using our well-loved Droids in a long, long time.
