Xiaomi Mi3 Specs, Review: Flagship Handset By The Apple Of China Sports 1080P Screen, 5-Inch Display, 13MP Camera & Cutting Edge Processor, Almost There In Terms Of Quality

Xiaomi Mi3 specs effectively rivals that of its Western counterparts and the phone that sold 100,000 units in 90 seconds when it first came out is billed by it’s China-based manufacturer as the fastest phone ever by the company.

Look and feel. According to PCMag, for an affordable $330 the future Xiaomi Mi3 owner gets a big, 5-inch slab of Android running Nvidia’s Tegra 4 chip. The site noted that Xiaomi Mi3 is one of the first smartphone with the cutting-edge gaming processor.

The body of the Xiaomi Mi3 feels a lot like the Nokia Lumia 920, according to the PCMag. The handset is heavy, with smooth rolled edges, a big glass screen and a broad speaker grille on the flat bottom of the phone. The 5-inch display is also huge and would work well for a home market (China) that wants, as PCMag noted, “big windows onto the world.”

Graphic and speed. PhoenArena noted that the Xiaomi Mi3 has amazing graphics capabilities, but it doesn’t seem to be the case when the PCMag reviewer played a game of Riptide GP2. The site reviewer noted, “I grew concerned about the Xiaomi’s build quality.”

Screen transitions were a little jerkier and the speaker of the whole bottom of the phone vibrate in a surprising way. Several apps of the Xiaomi’s custom apps also quit upon launch. The Xiaomi Mi3 is also just almost there in terms of when it comes to the finish. While it looks great, just before you turn it off, it doesn’t have the finish of the latest top-of-the line phones from Samsung, HTC and Apple.

Price. Coming back to the price of $330. The device is hands-down a bargain compared to the offerings of its Western competitors. It’s less than the price of the iPhone C which costs $728 in China with a much smaller screen and older processor, noted PCMag.

Aside from the look and feel of the phone, the speed and it’s overall performance is yet to be determined, thus, more reasons to keep an eye on this breakaway handset by Xiaomi, the Apple of China.
