Twilight DVD Box Set Released Today! Features Include Creepy Bella Baby Doll [See Pics] Scarier Than Chucky Plus Other Deleted Scenes [Video]

‘Twilight’ fans have something to get excited about. The DVD boxed collection “Twilight Forever” has been released.

It’s been five years since the first Edward-Bella pairing hit theatres. That was November 5, 2008. They consistently released a movie every year after that. The trend stops this year, but they have the boxed collection to satisfy the vampire romance craving.

Aside from all the five movies, they have hours of exclusive content. These consist of interviews with the cast, the director and the writer herself.

One of the more interesting deleted scenes was the feature on the mechanical doll that was supposed to be Bella’s baby. They wanted to create an other-worldly creature that’s one-day old yet it was supposed to have a certain maturity (as represented in the book) beyond its age.

The outcome was not exactly what they expected. The mechanical doll they created was even called ‘Chuckesme’ by the cast and crew. It’s a tribute to the iconic ‘Chucky’ doll from the “Child’s Play” series. Chucky is a grotesque doll that was meant to be outright scary and monstrous.

‘Chuckesme’ on the other hand, was supposed to be the beautiful offspring of the Twilight saga’s lead stars. This fact increases the creepy factor of the doll.

Even the producer thought it was horrible. “Chuckesme is one of the most grotesque, animatronic babies ever to not be seen on film.” Shares producer Wyck Godfrey from the Yahoo Movies video clip. Actress Nikki Reed, who was also in the features clip, was visibly ‘creeped out.’ She also narrates that the doll weighs 60pounds and it was manipulated like a puppet by two technicians at her feet.

In the clip, Nikki Reed hands the ‘baby’ over to her ‘mother’ Kristen Stewart. The lack of surprise in Stewart’s face after seeing her ‘offspring’ is quite remarkable.
