There have been reports about a new Wolverine movie sequel after Director James Mangold talked to the studio Twentieth Century Fox and Hugh Jackman for another installation of the movie based on the comic book character.

Mangold who also directed the first Wolverine movie is reported to have been working with the movie alongside producer Lauren Shuler Donner.

The first installment movie is one of the most highly appreciated movies in the X-Men franchise. The actor who starred in the film said that the success was because of the fans which he is grateful to.

"I'm grateful to [the fans]," Jackman said "And it's a rare opportunity to go and actually express that. And my career without that role would be a very different -- if you could call it a career at all."

"What I love and am so proud of that movie is Jim [Mangold] did such a great job," he added. 

Mangold who worked with Jackman most of the times in his movies said that the success they're achieving with the movies are because of their chemistry and the comic book storyline that movie watchers were surely appreciating.

"Having a star be so involved this way can be uncomfortable or really great. I have always been close with Hugh, and that helped. He's so collaborative that once he establishes where you're headed, he gives you the map and lets you take him there. Our goals here were the same, to use the launching pad of the Claremont-Miller storyline as a way to get deeper into his character. Hugh feels that more strongly than anyone because for so many years he has heard from all the fans who love Claremont-Miller and yearned to get closer and more internal with his character," the director said.

"X-Men: Days Of Future Past" will be released summer of next year. The Australian actor is set to appear in the movie as Wolverine where in the story is set to meet the original X-Men characters and the X-Men: First Class characters to fight for the survival of species.
