Michelle Knight talked to Dr. Phil about her ordeal at the hands of her tormentor Ariel Castro while in captivity for 11 years. 

The first and only among the Cleveland kidnapping victims to talk about the kidnapping and torture, Michelle held nothing back and recalled everything in vivid detail.

'I was tied up like a fish,' said Michelle, adding that she tried to break free and escape many times. However, she did not succeed and every foiled attempt meant severe torture by way of punishment.

At the start of the interview, Dr. Phil McGraw asked Michelle about how Ariel Castro kidnapped her. Michelle remembered everything like it happened yesterday, and not 11 years ago. 

Ariel Castro, father of Michelle's friend Emily Castro, led her astray from Family Dollar Store on Clark Avenue to some other place, halting first at his residence on Seymour Avenue.

He invited Michelle in under the guise of showing her the puppies and said that she could take one for her son. Little did Michelle know that she 'would not breathe that air again for 11 years.'

Ariel Castro repeatedly raped her and the other two girls, who joined Michelle a year later. She also recalled her weak moments when she would sob and plead Castro to free her. In return, he would throw money at her, liking her to a prostitute.

"He was obsessed with prostitutes and also he thought I was a 13-year-old prostitute. When he found out my real age he got mad," Michelle revealed. She was 21 years old when she was kidnapped and had a 2 ½ year old son.

Michelle encountered five pregnancies and subsequent brutal abortions during the 11 years of her captivity. The brutalities have left her with multiple bodily damages including loss of vision.  

However, Michelle Knight is determined to survive and inspire people to fight against oppression.
