NBA News Update – New York Knicks Owner Stops Cheerleaders From Dancing; 'Fuming'James Dolan Wants Some ‘Changes’ With The Team

The New York Knicks owner James Dolan has always been one of the more infamous owners in the NBA. It seems like he wants to establish an entirely new level for himself.

After the Knicks' loss to Minnesota which left them at a 1-2 record (update: they're 1-3 now after a loss to the Charlotte Bobcats also in the Garden), the irate Knicks owner reportedly went to Steve Mills, his newly appointed President and General Manager.

According to a report from Frank Isola of the NY Daily News, Dolan gave a Mills a mouthful in one of the Madison Square Garden's exclusive suites. He also gave a "win-now" tirade to to head coach Mike Woodson and his staff. After ranting on everyone and demanding some 'changes' he also gave a special directive to the Knicks City Dancers (KCD) to..stop dancing.

It's incredible, but that's actually what Dolan commanded. He wanted the KCD roles reduced and actually limited them to one routine. Dolan would rather have them shooting T-shirts to the audience.

In the game last Sunday, the dancers were limited to one routine. In their next game on Tuesday night, versus the Charlotte Bobcats, the KCD were nowehere to be found.

They were at the pre-game player introductions, but they did not perform the usual routines during timeouts and at halftime.

Things are not looking good for the Garden franchise. They lost Tyson Chandler to injury, taking away any interior presence that they had. Often injured Amare Stoudemire saw some minutes and made some turnovers.

Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks' superstar told the NY Daily News: "I just pray and hope that Tyson's fine, that he's all right. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. They're not really telling us nothing. He's our anchor down there on the defensive end. So we miss him big-time."

The former scoring champion adds: "We've got to remain positive. It's easy to go into a dark place right now. It's easy to listen to all that negativity that's going to be coming our way, but we've got to stay together as a unit, as a team, remain positive and get through this."

Coach Mike Woodson, whom many people suspect to be the center of the 'changes' that Dolan wants, said ominously: "I got a lot to think about right now."
