Miami Heat Star LeBron James Marks Incredible Milestone With 500 Straight Double Figure Games, Stands Alongside Basketball Greats

Miami Heat's LeBron James stands alongside basketball legends after scoring 10 points just in the first quarter to have double-digit points for 500 straight games.

LeBron finished with his first 30-point game of the season after defeating the Raptors 104-95 in Toronto and finishing with 35 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

It was a put back jam after a Norris Cole miss in the 2:35 minute mark of the first quarter that put James alongside the elite club including Kareen Abdul-Jabbar (787 straight games with 10 or more points), Michael Jordan (866 games), Karl Malone (575 games) and Moses Malone (526 games).

"When I see a stat like that, I'm like 'Wow,' because I know the history of the game, I know the guys who paved the way for myself and my teammates," the new member of the elite club said. "To be in such a great class like that, it's an amazing feeling."

The basketball champion's feat received wows from his team mates as Dwyane Wade and Shane Battier commented on his milestone.

"In practice, during shootaround and during games, he's a consistent player, period," teammate Dwayne Wade said. "I'm not surprised by that. Just more surprised at how he's been able to keep himself out there on the floor."

"You don't really see the work he puts in, not only on his game but his body, to keep himself at the highest level in the world, really," Battier said after calling his teammate "one of a kind". "It takes amazing dedication and resolve. That's partly why LeBron is LeBron, that's why he's great, because he has that resolve to stay at a high level."

Last night's game was the 12th consecutive win of the Heat of the Raptors. Last game was at 2010 when the big three of Miami wasn't even a thought.
