Nina Dobrev took to her Twitter to congratulate ex boyfriend Ian Somerhalder for his People's Choice Awards 2014 nomination, for the Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actor award. Nina Dobrev was also nominated for a People's Choice Award, alongside her ex boyfriend Ian Somerhalder.

Nina Dobrev, 24, posted on her Twitter a congratulatory message to her ex boyfriend Ian Somerhalder for his People's Choice Awards 2014 nomination: "And a congrats shout out to @iansomerhalder for his nomination in the Best SciFi Actor category!" she wrote. "Way to represent the male Vampires!Kill it!" (Pun intended.)"

"The Vampire Diaries" co-stars ended their three-year relationship earlier this year, Hollywood Life reports, but Nina and Ian, 34, are frequently communicating to each other via Twitter - looks like they're still close friends despite their break up!

Nina and Ian are also nominated for the People's Choice Awards 2014 for Favorite TV Couple from their "Vampire Diaries" relationship. Dobrev was also nominated for the Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress award.

This will be Nina Dobrev's third nomination in a row for a People's Choice Award. She won Favorite Dramatic TV Actress in 2012.

"I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD NOMINATIONS!!!" Nina tweeted on Nov. 5. "Thank you for voting and continuing to vote! So much love to you! #PCA #TVD."

She continued, "This is SO COOL-Best SciFi Show,Best Chemistry+Best SciFi Actress. Beyond grateful for your support, love and passion after 5 years of #TVD!"

"The Vampire Diaries" is also up for the Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show award. The show will be pitted against Beauty and the Beast, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, and The Walking Dead, Wetpaint reports.

The People's Choice Awards air on January 8, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. You can vote at PeoplesChoice.com, their official voting app, and on Facebook or Twitter through December 5, 2013.
