Orlando Bloom recently broke his silence about his split with his Victoria's Secret wife Miranda Kerr after rumors surfaced of a romance with his Romeo and Juliet co-star.

On the Katie Courier Show, the Lord f the Rings star jokingly made a sad puppy dog face while Courier acknowledged the news that he separated from the mother of his son Flynn.

Despite the break up, Bloom insisted that him and Kerr share a lifetime connection.

"We love each other. We're a family," said Bloom. "We are going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives."

The current Broadway sensation stressed that it's all about the well being of their son.

"There's no question for the sake of our son or anything else," he said. "We're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."

The fact that the two manage to remain mature, makes the transition for Bloom a bit easier.

"Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for but fortunately we're both adults," said Bloom. "I'm 36 now, she's 30, we're both professionals, and we love and care about each other, and we most of all love our son."

Prior to his interview with Courier, rumors surfaced that Bloom was easing the pain by kissing his Romeo and Juliet co-star Condola Rashad off stage.

According to Daily Mail, Rashad, Tony award winning daughter of Phylicia Rashad, denied the accusation.






"Orlando and I are co-workers and friends, that's all," she said. "The fact anyone thinks anything more I guess means we've done a good job portraying passion and love in our performance."






However, Bloom did admit on LIVE With Kelly and Michael  that he sometimes doesn't want to stop kissing Rashad.






"We sometimes get applause after our first kiss because it just goes on,' he starts. 'Sometimes I'm like, I'm not letting go."
