GTA 5 PC Release Date News: Billion-Dollar Sales Speed Up Computer Version Release? Rockstar Games Product Becomes ‘Fastest-Selling Piece Of Entertainment In History’

Grand Theft Auto 5 reached on billion dollars in sales in just three days making it the fastest selling piece of entertainment in history, the Christian Post reports, leaving many wondering if the game's PC release will speed up because of its sale successes.

And an online petition asking for release of Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version has surpassed over 600,000 signatures, also leaving gamers wondering if Rockstar Games will release more information once it has passed the one million mark.

The Change.org petition was created earlier this year when it was announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 would be released for next-generation consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar Games has not released an official release date for the game's computer version, which has amassed a large following of gamers yearning the release of PC graphics.

Several stores have put up the Grand Theft Auto 5 steam key, which can be pre-ordered online, pointing to a possible Summer 2014 release, according to SidTech.com.

"The pre-orders tell us that those who pre-order will have to wait for summer next year for the release. We take the summer to mean somewhere between July and September 2014," the website writes.

"You do have to take this with a pinch of salt as at the moment Rockstar have not spoken up about a released date. Personally we thought that that Rockstar would launch GTA 5 for the PC before we got to see it on the PS4 and Xbox One."

While Hewlett-Packard released a short message regarding the PC release date of Grand Theft Auto 5, pointing to an end-of-month release for the version, the game is expected to be released at the beginning of next year.
