Although The Last of Us has long been released, fan service continues to astound (and gross out) players, especially given the penchant for the Joel and Ellie romance angle.

A recent cosplay photo of Joel and Ellie of The Last of Us has startled fans. While the costumes are spot-on, a second photo shows the cosplayers kissing romantically.

Given that Ellie is supposed to be 14, this romance angle has caused some controversy amongst The Last of Us fans.

"This is so wrong," writes The Walking Matt on Twitter.

But don't worry, not all fan service has quite the creepy factor involved, like these fan films of The Last of Us by Iron Horse Cinema Productions.

These films aim to recapture some of the best moments in The Last of Us, including the "Bill's Town" section of the PS3 release.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly anticipating The Last of Us single player DLC that has been in the works for some time by Naughty Dog.

According to Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli, the DLC is still on track for a December to January release, while the studio is "playtesting early code right now."

According to PlayStationLifeStyle, a Nathan Drake mask will likely not happen.

"As we said before the Factions is about the Factions. Drake isn't a part of the Factions," continues Monacelli.
