Julia Roberts Came To BAFTA Britannia Awards To Support Her Close Friend George Clooney Who Was Awarded With Britannia Excellence Along With Benedict Cumberbatch And Sir Ben Kingsley

The 2013 BAFTA Britannia Awards was held in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. The award giving body honored George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch and Sir Ben Kingsley with Britannia Excellence for making an impact in Hollywood.

And who was there to support the dashing yet single again actor? Non-other than his close friend Julia Roberts , who was dashing as well on her black ensemble dress, but skipped the red carpet and discreetly came inside the venue to seat right next to Clooney.

The "Gravity" actor always charming in his own whimsical ways effortlessly pulled a joke about his life while accepting his awards.

"I rather famously don't have children - that I know of - but I do have a family of writers, actors and directors," he quipped.

Both Roberts and Clooney were seen together during the dinner celebration, laughing and catching up all throughout the event.

The duo was last seen together onscreen in Ocean's Twelve that was nine years ago. However, Julia will be appearing in the movie co-produced by Clooney, August: Osage County alongside co-stars Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor and Juliette Lewis.

The Pretty Woman star is happily married with husband Danny Moder. The couple shares three wonderful children - twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 9, and Henry, 6.

While Clooney has recently ended his relationship with WWE wrestler Stacy Kiebler and now being linked to Katie Holmes and Atty. Amal Alamuddin - the star insists that he's single though.

George shares his award with highly acclaimed actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sir Ben Kingsley.

Benedict Cumberbatch whose been very busy with three fall films, "The Fifth Estate," "12 Years a Slave" and "August: Osage County," accepted his award dedicating speech praising people who has worked with him.

On the other hand, Sir Ben Kingsley who was introduced by Hollywood A-listers such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Caine, Spielberg, Bruce Willis and Robert Downey Jr. and Sigourney Weaver, devoted his speech to new generation actors.

"My dear young actors, I know how difficult it can be being you ... may your craft remain undiminished, untarnished, bright and hard like a diamond," the award winning actor said.
