Rockstar Games has released official Snapmatc Screensavers featuring user-taken photos of Grand Theft Auto 5, Kotaku reports, leaving gamers wondering if it will signal an early release of the game's PC version.

"This kind of makes me wish I had another PC on my desk, set up specifically slip into screensaver mode and endlessly flip through this gorgeous catalog of user-taken snapshots, curated by Rockstar to show off the gorgeous sights of Los Santos and Blaine Country. Sure beats flying toasters," the website writes.

The Snapmatc Screensaver is available for PC and Mac as a free download, the website also reports.

an online petition asking for release of Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version has surpassed over 600,000 signatures, also leaving gamers wondering if Rockstar Games will release more information once it has passed the one million mark.

The Change.org petition was created earlier this year when it was announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 would be released for next-generation consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar Games has not released an official release date for the game's computer version, which has amassed a large following of gamers yearning the release of PC graphics.

Several stores have put up the Grand Theft Auto 5 steam key, which can be pre-ordered online, pointing to a possible Summer 2014 release, according to SidTech.com.

"The pre-orders tell us that those who pre-order will have to wait for summer next year for the release. We take the summer to mean somewhere between July and September 2014," the website writes.
