John 'Junior' Gotti: Ex-Mafia Boss Stabbed; Drives Himself to the Hospital; Does Not Break Omerta on His Attacker

John "Junior" Gotti, former boss of the Gambino Mafia family and the sons of John Gotti was stabbed on Long Island after he attempted to break up a fight in a car park. That's all he told the cops anyway.

According to published reports, John "Junior" Gotti was stabbed in the stomach on Sunday night. He drove himself to the hospital while his stomach was bleeding.

The former mob boss was attacked in assaulted outside of a Syosset CVS store.

Long Island Police are investigating the stabbing. Gotti claims he was stabbed in the stomach by a stranger when he got in the middle of a fight.

True to form, the son of a mob boss stayed silent about the incident when police questioned him.

John Gotti Junior was reputed to be the head of the Gambino crime family while his father, Dapper Don John "The Teflon Don" Gotti was in prison during the 1990s. John Gotti died of cancer while in prison in 2002. John Gotti got the nickname the "Teflon Don" because he got off on racketeering charges several times in court before the government barred John Cutler, his longtime lawyer, from representing him.

John "Junior" Gotti says he got out of organized crime in 1999. John "Junior" Gotti pleaded guilty to charges of racketeering. He served six years in prison.

Junior Gotti has gone to trial for racketeering several times since 2004. Each time he was tried the cases ended in a hung jury. The son of John Gotti now manages properties on Long Island.

According to published reports, Junior Gotti's wounds were not life-threatening. He is recovering at home.
