With Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's breakup, it appears that 'Catching Fire' actress Jennifer Lawrence is siding with her co-star. In a recent interview during the 'Catching Fire' premiere in London last November 11, the 23-year-old actress was asked about the portrayal of young women in the media specifically the series of raunchy behaviors exhibited by Cyrus.

"It is a part of the entertainment industry that sells. Sex sells, and for some disgusting reason young sex sells even more," tells Lawrence to BBC Newsnight.

She also indirectly gave a reason behind the former Disney star's provocative acts:  "For some people, that's how they feel best, that's how they feel sexy."

Last August, the 'So Undercover' actress stirred controversy when she danced seductively while wagging her tongue out during the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). The move is now known as "twerk". It did not stop there because last November 10, she delivered a dance with a seemingly similar theme while holding a cigarette with a suspicious appearance.

For Lawrence, it is significant to be a role model especially if your fan base mainly consists of younger people. She says that she tries her best to make "conscious decisions" knowing that young girls can aspire to follow her footsteps.

 "I think [Katniss Everdeen]  is a wonderful role model for young girls. I'm happy that they have a character like that," the brunette actress said.
