The Oklahoma City Thunder will battle it out against the Los Angeles Clippers for an explosive offensive match to prove who is the best in the west.

The Thunder who escaped a loss from the Wizards last Sunday came back strong in the fourth quarter after being down 10 points late in the fourth.

OKC head coach Scott Brooks expressed his excitement for the team's close game where they lost Westbrook late in the game for getting ejected.

 "That was definitely a resilient win," Brooks said, who are now 5-1 coming in to Wednesday's game. "It was that never-quit mentality that we've always believed in and that's what happened tonight. We just battled and battled and battled and gave ourselves a chance to win down the stretch."

The Clippers who are now 5-3 has been playing back-to-back close games and playing against big teams. Los Angeles back up player Ryan Hollins said that this has been a tough year for their team.

"This year is one of the most competitive years I've seen for a while," Hollins said. "Every single night you're playing a big matchup."

Chris Paul who has been consistent with double-double stats since the start of the season scored 21 points and 11 assists in their last game against Minnesota on Monday.

"We're almost there (defensively)," said Paul. "A lot of times tonight we were in the right spots. But I think we've still got to get better rebounding and that's collectively. We can't rely on Blake and D.J. (DeAndre Jordan) to get all the rebounds. We've got to get in there and collectively rebound."
