"My natural instinct was to try to rush it and get it up there, but it sat on the rim and came right off. I would say 99 times out of a hundred times that goes in," Love, who finished with 23 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists told ESPN. "We're a very good team when we are fighting back and this was another great learning experience for us."

After falling behind by as many as 23, Minnesota had a chance to win but Love's 3-point attempt with 1.9 seconds left bounced off the back rim in the one-point loss to the Cavs.

"We'll take that shot every time," teammate Kevin Martin said. "The best power forward in the league with a great look to win the game. We just dug too big of a hole early to pull it out at the end."
