The 8-7-2 Stars vs 4-13-2 Oilers will take place in Edmonton, where the Oilers have won only one game this season while Dallas is 3-3 on the road.

Both teams score a lot of goals while the Oilers have allowed at least four goals in the last three games, which were all losses vs the Blackhawks, Flyers and Lightning. The Stars give up goals as well as they've allowed 13 goals in the past four games, while scoring 13 in those game, which were three victories.

"If we're going to play like that, that's what you're going to get," coach Dallas Eakins told the Oilers' official website. "It's pro sports. The fans are allowed to express their displeasure and it's the only way they can."

The Oilers did record 12 goals on the recent trip, which could instill some confidence heading home.

"I thought we competed," forward Sam Gagner said after Sunday's 5-4 loss at Chicago. "That's a big thing for us. We need to ensure we have that level of compete every night. We can't roll over. We have to continue to move forward."

The injury report, according to NHL.com:

"Whitney was placed on IR retroactive to Nov. 9 and will miss at least the first two games of the Stars' three-game road trip. ... The Oilers are missing a plethora of players. On IR are Steve MacIntyre (knee), Corey Potter (strained back), Ryan Hamilton (knee), Tyler Pitlick (sprained left knee), Justin Schultz (strained groin/rib cage) and Bachman (strained groin). Luke Gazdic (shoulder) is questionable."
