Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 rumors are back and now with more details on what the specs of Samsung’s largest tablet to date could look like. In the latest round of reports, the expected specs for the 12.2-inch display includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a high-end resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and S-Pen features.

According to the International Business Times, referencing the rumored specs, it seems that Samsung is positioning the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 to go against the iPad Air. The website also poses the question, can the South Korean tech giant deliver another knockout tablet?

Resolution-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 has the same resolution as the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. In terms of memory, it will also have 3GB of RAM. And like other Galaxy Notes, the 12.2-inch device will have S-Pen features and will come out with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Sources say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 may have a new Android if Google releases another OS, though it’s very likely that the latest Android we’ll have at the moment is the Android 4.4 KitKat.

The tablet was first spotted hours after the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear last September at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin. Moveplayer even leaked a render (seen above) of what it could look like, although nobody can verify the accuracy of the said render.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 was also spotted a few weeks ago at a Bluetooth sig filing, showing that the South Korean tech giant is actively preparing the release of the unit.

It’s possible that the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is geared towards more enterprise users as it is definitely a breakaway from the traditional size of consumer tablets available ranging from 7-inch to items devices at 10.1-inches.
