Samsung Galaxy S3 Update: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean For Device Maybe Postponed, Installment Of New OS Causes App Crashes, Reduced Battery Life & Bad Wi-Fi

Samsung Galaxy S3 update: The highly-anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S3, which many users have been waiting for, may not be made available at all due to problems resulting to it’s install.

According to a report by SamMobile, some of the problems caused by the Android 4.3 upgrade include app crashes, reduced battery life, inconsistent Wi-Fi connections and laggy performance. In what could be the biggest inconvenience, the new Android 4.3 can even cause “complete lockups of the device on the lockscreen that can only be solved by pulling out and reinserting the battery.”

Samsung is keeping an eye on the issue and may postpone the complete rollout of the Android 4.3 to devices. Phones Review reported that it wasn’t able to avail of the Samsung Galaxy S3 after initially ignoring the update prompt a day before.

In a report by Android Authority, the Samsung UK Facebook Page acknowledged the issue that was reported by several users who have upgraded their phones to Android 4.3. It said that the engineering department is aware of it and is currently investigating the cause.

The next device expected to get the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the Android 4.3, but with the Samsung Galaxy S3 issues, it will not be a surprise if the update for it will also be delayed.
