iPhone 5s Vs. Nexus 5:Battle Of The Flagships, Which One Better Fits Your Christmas Shopping List?

The Nexus 5 is ultimately the fastest Android there is today. How would it fare against the similarly powerful iPhone 5s? Even before the two handsets were launched, the iPhone 5s vs Nexus 5 battle has already been set. But which one outplays which?

iPhone 5s

During the Apple event in September, the Cupertino claims the iPhone 5s as the most powerful smartphone the company developed. For one, that's because it's the successor of the iPhone family. In addition, it also sports the best Apple has to offer - the envied Retina display, A7 chip, and iOS 7 out of the box.

However, there are some notable features which certainly piqued the interest of the market. One of these is the Touch ID home button. A fingerprint sensor in nature, the Touch ID enables users to unlock their devices using a more advanced security which was only imagined in the past. In addition, this feature also allows online transactions to be done using the user's fingerprint.

Nexus 5

The Nexus 5 does not boast gimmicky features, or a heavy skin that covers Android. It is first of all an Android phone. Packing almost 5 inches of screen estate, the device does not have the biggest screen, but its resolution and pixel density more than make up for it. Boasting a Snapdragon 800 chipset with quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM, this device certainly is the fastest because it runs on pure Android 4.4 Kit Kat, an update which is believed to unite all other Droids with a minimum system requirement.

Borrowing some features from the LG G2, the Nexus 5 looks stunning with its slim frame. However, the smaller battery would not be able take on heavy usage throughout the day.

Conclusion

The iPhone 5s certainly is among the best handsets there are today, but its lack of RAM and processing power allows it to bow down the Nexus 5. However, in terms of practical features, the iPhone 5s is one step ahead with the fingerprint sensor and better battery. To sum it up, both phones pretty much stack on equally, though the Nexus Droid still has one ace up its sleeve - pricing.
