Lily Allen Kicks Miley Cyrus’ Twerking Butt in New Song Hard Out There; Satirizes the Blurred Lines of Music Industry Sexism (Video)

Lily Allen isn't afraid to bite the hand that feeds her. The British pop singer has aimed her barbs at society's pressure on women since her first recordings. Lily Allen also took on George W. Bush in the post-9/11 era. Now Lily Allen is kicking Miley Cyrus right in her twerking butt.

Lily Allen wants to send a message to women on her new single, "Hard Out Here." Lily Allen is already getting backlash on the song's music video for using black women as hypersexualized symbols, the she has a bigger message to convey.

Lily Allen "You know [the song] it's done in a very 'me way' with a bit of a wink and a nod. It's a fun track but I think it's got quite a powerful message."

Lily Allen said "It is a song about life being perhaps a little bit more difficult for girls. It's particularly difficult for girls in this day and age."

At one point in the music video a grey-suited music executive, says: "How could someone let themselves get like this? I suppose it's a lack of self-discipline."

Lily Allen tells him, "Um. I've had two babies."

Lily Allen's new song "Hard Out There" is part of her comeback. She hasn't released any new music since she took time off to have two children. But she hasn't lost her fierce independence. She said "Hard Out There" is done in a very "me way." She said "It [the song] is to do with a lot of stuff that's being talked about in the press actually, the sexualisation of children and the objectification of women in general."

Lily Allen's new music videos nods at Robin Thicke's song "Blurred Lines" and the music video for  Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball."

Miley recently told Newsbeat that she was a feminist.

Lily Allen will perform the "Hard Out There" tonight on London Eye.

She said "My kind of thinking about it was there's a bit of time between now and after Christmas when I'm going to be going to radio with my first proper single. I felt this track was too important to let slip."

She will also be features on a Christmas television commercials singing her version of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know. "

"Hard Out There" hit number two in the Official Midweek Chart.
