Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Version Features Sora As Protagonist Because He’s ‘More Iconic And Marketable?’ Speculation Suggests Director Prefers Old Character

Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura decided to use younger Sora in the new game because he "likes him more" and is "more iconic and marketable," Society and Religion writes.

"Sora in Kingdom Hearts 2, at the end of the day, is a bit ridiculous; but it's wrong to introduce an aged character and then keep the character young," the website writes.

"It alienates a lot of people who thought the KH2 outfit was awesome. But I believe the dev team has a hard time working with KH2 Sora post-KH2, since he pretty much was a new character, baring little personality or appearance to his original incarnation."

Kingdom Hearts 3 made appearances during the PS4 All Access show, Examiner.com reports, leaving many wondering if the game's release date is coming sooner than expected.

Final Fantasy XV was also featured in the montage that was posted on Nov. 15 by Dual Shockers, Examiner.com also reports.

Square Enix has not announced official release dates for both titles.
