Metal Gear Solid 5 Release Date Version Of Ground Zeroes Features Déjà Vu Mission From First Game? Konami Releases Plot Synopsis

Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes publisher Konami has updated the game's site with an official plot synopsis revealing that it will feature a déjà vu mission, which sees the original Metal Gear Solid's first mission recreated, VG247.com writes.

The game segment will be set in 1975 and will feature Snake's mercenary group MSF, nuclear conflict and interrogation at United States military facilities in Cuba.

Metal Gear Solid: 5 Ground Zeroes will have two Limited Edition skus in Japan, and both are up for pre-order on Amazon Japan, VG247.com also reports.

"The premium edition contains the game, the novelization of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and a Revoltech Snake figure which includes accessories such as an assault rifle, handgun, knife, scope, iDroid, and different hands. It will run cost 8,480 yen ($85)," the website writes.

"The other Konami comes with a Playarts Kai Metallic Snake version with a rifle, scope, and accessories as well for 13,270 yen ($134)."

Kojima Productions' upcoming prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain -- called Ground Zeroes -- will have exclusive content on PlayStation, IGN writes, leaving many gamers wondering if the PS4 version will become more popular.

An image tweeted by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima calls out its Spring 2014 release date and "exclusive content on PlayStation platforms," which also calls out Ground Zeroes as having multiple missions in addition to side-ops secondary missions, IGN also writes.
