GTA 5 PC Release Date News: Computer Mods Better Than PS3, Xbox 260 Versions? Speculation Suggests Current-Generation Consoles Are ‘Not As Flexible With Mods’

Grand Theft Auto 5 has not yet been released as a PC version, but one website suggests computer mods for the game will be better than current Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

"Mods on PS3 and Xbox 360 are possible, but not as flexible with mods as the PC is. For consoles people can't create things such as the crossbows, normal bows, zombies, driving etc. because they require new models and animations - these can't be done in current generation of consoles," Society and Religion writes.

"All you can really do with Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is change some scripts and "make" new vehicles by just mixing current in-game models. "

Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version might be delayed as a marketing stunt, SocietyAndReligion.com reports, leaving many gamers wondering if it is being held back from launching to bring more attention to it.

"Video game manufacturers have been accused of causing the release date delays so as to build a greater expectation. It is believed to be a marketing stunt in which the product is only rumored to be coming for a season," the website writes.

"The idea is that by the time the product is officially launched, there will be enough knowledge of its existence. This scenario is expected to translate to great sales at the initial launch. In other words the marketing strategy feeds on people's curiosity."
