Madonna Net Worth: The "Material Girl" beats both pop diva Lady Gaga and award winning rocker Bon Jovi as the top-earning musician in Forbes 2013 list as stated on Tuesday.

The living legend pop artist has earned $125 million, mainly from her highly successful MDNA tour that grossed a whopping $305 million, in addition to the merchandise sold at her concerts and a clothing line and fragrance line as well.

"Madonna is living up to her nickname: the Material Girl tops our list of the top-earning musicians by a wide margin," Forbes declared.

Lady Gaga, 27, got the second-place spot earning $80 million while Bon Jovi took the third spot with $79 million earnings.

Both Gaga and Bon Jovi got most of their income from tours just like Madonna net worth. The latest tour of Lady Gaga gave her a $168 million profit despite her not being able to finish the tour due to hip injury that required a surgery. While Bon Jovi grossed more than $3 million per city from his concerts.

The 25 highest-paid musicians was compiled by Forbes based on estimating the income for one year between the months of June 2012 and June 2013 using figures from the well-known trade publication Pollstar, trade organization RIAA and statistics and sales tracking system Nielsen SoundScan. Industry lawyers, managers and other musicians were also consulted by Forbes magazine.

The estimated pre-tax income includes ticket sales, royalties, merchandise sales and business ventures before it was deducted for the agents, managers and lawyers.

"ARTPOP," Lady Gaga's latest album was not included in the accounting, since it was released after June 2013.

Country music artist Toby Keith with $65 million income took the top four spot, while the fifth slot went to the British rock group Coldplay earning only a total of $64 million.

Most of the musicians on the list got their income from concert tours since it was lucrative, but some who were included in the list had other sources of income.

Sean "Diddy" Combs, a rapper and music tycoon was the top ranked hip-hop artist who took the eleventh spot on the Forbes list with $50 million earnings that he got most from a deal with Ciroc vodka.

Still Madonna net worth marks an amazing wide margin from its fellow musicians.
