LG G Pad 8.3 Price, Review, Release Date: Flagship Tablet Of LG To Be Made Available In Japan, Canada, Brazil & 50 Other Countries By End Of 2013

LG G Pad 8.3 price, review and release date news: The flagship Android-powered tablet of LG, which received rave reviews for its premium design and awesome user interface, will soon be available in 50 more countries by the end of this year.

According to the Korean Herald, LG Electronics aims to ship the tablet to more markets to boost its sagging sales and in time for the year-end shopping season.

The tablet is currently available for $350.00 in the U.S. in retailers like Best Buy and Amazon as well as in 20 other countries like Italy, U.K., France and Britain. Though the device is well-received by the tech community and applauded for its look and performance, many have cited the price as as debacle.

In a review by Popular Mechanics last October, it noted that the “steep price tag could be a turnoff in a tablet-happy market with plenty of options.” For the price tag the LG G Pad 8.3 has in the States, it makes it the second most expensive tablet right after the iPad Mini.

It is unknown if the South Korean tech giant will be adjusting its price to make it more competitive in overseas markets. The Korean Herald reported that according to experts, they see the move by LG to offer the tablet in more markets as an effort to secure stable market share. Recent data shows that Korean firms is losing its global standing in the smart device market.

A recent report released by the US-based Strategy Analytics shows that LG lost its ground to Chinese smartphone makers such as Huawei and Lenovo in terms of the quantity of smartphones sales in the 3Q period. It also showed that LG gained a 0.2 per cent market share in the world’s tablet PC markets in the same period.

The figure for LG was much lower than it’s competitors like Apple who holds 27.1 per cent, Samsung (20.2 per cent), Asus (6.8 per cent) and Lenovo (4.4 per cent).
