Charles Manson getting married? A 25 year old woman who says Charles Manson named her Star claims that she is marrying the 79-year-old convicted killer.

Charles Manson's fiancé told Rolling Stone that the couple is engaged. She said "I'll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married. When that will be, we don't know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven't told anybody about that."

Star told Rolling Stone that she started writing to Charles Manson when she was 19. The couple spend weekends together. Star moved to Corcoran, Calif., in 2007 to be closer to Corcoran State Prison where Charles Manson is serving a life sentence. Star says she got her name from Charles Manson.

Charles Manson isn't as blushing as his bride. Manson told Rolling Stone "That's a bunch of garbage ... That's trash. We're just playing that for public consumption."

Star runs a website called "Release Charles Manson Now," according to the website: "We KNOW Charles Manson was not given his rights in a court of law, and that he has been illegally incarcerated by the California Department of Corrections for the past 40 years. This blatant injustice will no longer be tolerated. Thousands of people around the world understand that Manson has been illegally tried in and by the media. He is obviously a political prisoner."

Star told Rolling Stone contributing editor Erik Hedegaard "Yeah, well, people can think I'm crazy. But they don't know. This is what's right for me. This is what I was born for." Star grew up in a religious family near St. Louis. Her family locked her in her room for most of her high school years because, she says, "I was smoking marijuana, eating mushrooms, not wanted to go to church every Sunday."

Star looks a little like Manson Family member Susan Atkins, known in the press as Sexy Sadie, but the resemblance ends there. Star says "That bitch was fucking crazy. She was a crazy fucking whore. 'Oh Charlie, I did this for you.' She didn't know what she was doing."

Charles Manson is probably the most infamous convicted killer of all time. He led a cult-like group called the Manson family in California in the late sixties. Manson, who had been in prisons most of his life, believed a race war was imminent that would bring on an apocalypse. Manson led the group to commit a series of murders to start the war. The Manson family murdered prominent California names, including the actress Sharon Tate, who was married to Roman Polanski. After a lengthy trial Manson and four of his followers were convicted. Manson is serving life in prison.
