It’s not unusual to see K-Pop stars in dramas other than the stage. They are now shown also in games and animations.

On March 14 a representative of KARA animation shared in an interview with TV Daily, “An animation based on KARA members is in its pre-production stage the practical work for production is in progress and discussion. There are still many things left to be discussed.” The animation that is to be produced with the possibility of exporting it to overseas market, the characters are planned to completely portray KARA’s actual image.

There are some idols that are met through game. In the past Wonder Girls and Big Bang were turned into playable characters in an online game, Free Style Basketball and Sudden Attack, respectively.

Thus it’s an opportunity for fans to meet their favorite idols through various industries. As these many different routes lead the idols to become closer to their fans that might be one of the reasons for their path, however more important it seems to be a testament to the growing number of loyal fans of K-pop.
