‘LEGO: The Hobbit’ Video Game Release Date: Promotional Art Suggests 2014 Arrival; Coming To Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, 3DS And PlayStation

A "LEGO: The Hobbit" Video Game release date pops up.

New reports suggest that LEGO: The Hobbit video game release date may be set for next year. Accordingly, the LEGO: The Hobbit Video Game release date first emerged on an advertisement.

LEGO: The Hobbit Video Game release date, which is set for 2014, was seen on a promotional material that was on the back of the instruction booklets for the 2014 Hobbit LEGO sets.

Citing BrickFan, Strategy Informer posted that the French LEGO instruction artwork reads, "Coming sortie prévue en 2014."

Moreover, the promo art material features "three characters: Bilbo, Thorin, and Gandalf with what appears to be The Lonely Mountain in the background."

Aside from the LEGO: The Hobbit Video Game release date, it is also reported that the upcoming title will be able to major gaming platforms. Specifically, LEGO: The Hobbit Video Game will be available on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation consoles, and PC.

A post on Gamespot reads, "Lego: The Hobbit would not be the first game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel. Vivendi published The Hobbitin 2003 for GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. In addition, mobile game company Kabam released free-to-play games The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth and The Hobbit: Armies of the Third Age last year."

Moreover, expect LEGO: The Hobbit Video Game to be available as well on PlayStation Network, and on Xbox Live.

As for other LEGO games, "LEGO: Lord of the Rings" was released in 2012 and developed by Traveller's Tales. PC and console editions of the game were made available. And earlier this month, an iOS version of LEGO: Lord of the Rings was released.
