‘X-Men Days Of Future Past’ Plot Spoilers – Magneto Conspired In JFK Assassination; ‘Bent Bullet’ Shows Bullet Trajectory Altered

Fox has gone the same path as Sony in making a viral site dedicated to promoting its latest superhero movie. Magneto is allegedly an accomplice in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

It doesn't seem like a coincidence that the viral site was launched at the 50th anniversary of the assassination. Some might find it rather exploitative, but it is an effective way to draw attention to the movie.

Conspiracy theories about the Kennedy assassination insinuate that the trajectory of the bullet, based on the speed of JFK's limo and the angle of where Lee Harvey Oswald was positioned in that moment, was improbable. It could not have happened under the laws of physics. Because of this, many people believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the gunman but someone else.

However, there is another explanation. A fake photo with Magneto at the infamous 'grassy knoll' with his hand raised seems to provide a parallel universe type of explanation-Magneto used his magnetic powers to control the trajectory of the bullet.

The X-Men franchise has taken this angle of reality bending since "X-Men: First Class." The mutants, specifically Magneto, played a central role in altering the course of history. In that movie, they stopped the impending Cuban Missile Crisis.

As for the motive of Magneto on why he wanted to assassinate the president, the site, thebentbullet.com provides the 'historical' explanation. They have branded Kennedy as a traitor to the human race.

All these changes to the X-Men Universe has fanboys furious. They have requested Fox to turn over the X-Men franchise to Marvel, which they would never do, unless there would be something valuable in exchange. The separation of the rights to the characters is the roadblock to a grand crossover between The Avengers and The X-Men.
