Nexus 8 Release Date, Rumors: Leaks & Speculations Show Little Evidence 8-Inch Tablet Is In-Development, Will There Really Be a Nexus 8?

Nexus 8 release date, rumors: One of the most circulated rumors about the Nexus 8 came from reports saying that a mysterious 8-inch tablet surfaced in Google’s website recently.

The image taken from Google’s Android site reveal a device with less bezels to the top and bottom, and the display is slightly larger than the Nexus 7. In a report by Gizmodo last November 4, it notes that “unless someone at Google hurriedly Photoshopped a shot of the company’s new KitKat OS on a Nexus 7 and did a rather shoddy job of it, this might be the first look at Google’s next Nexus tablet.”

ZDNet has also written about the picture which describes the tablet that the woman in the image is holding as “too large for a 7-inch one and too small for a 10-inch tablet.”

According to ZDNet, Google has now removed the “mystery device” and replaced it with details of the already available Nexus 7. Base on speculations, the new device seen in the image could be the Nexus 8.

In the same week that the “mystery device” surfaced on the Google website, Android Guys reported that an LG tablet passed through Bluetooth certification with model number LG V510 and that the device is an 8-inch tablet.

“It can be assumed that this tablet could be the Nexus 8-inspired by the LG G Pad which was announced recently,” Asad Rafi of the Android Guys wrote.

The Android Guys writer added that if in case it is not the Nexus 8, there’s a possibility that it could be the LG G Pad LTE.

Nonetheless, all the speculations for an upcoming Nexus 8 have been very limited and there are still no solid image leaks of what it may look like or rumors from the supply chain.

Do you think we’ll actually see a Nexus 8 in the future? Or are these speculations in vain?
