Pokemon X and Y have been released, and several updates regarding both the games and the anime have come to light.

For those still waiting to get their hands on Pokemon X and Y for the 3DS, Black Friday might be the perfect time to go to Walmart, since they will be giving out special serial codes.

According to Serebii, copies of Pokemon X and Y purchased in Walmart in North America contain serial codes to download a special Garchomp (Pokemon X) or special Scizor (Pokemon Y).

With both Pokemon receiving Mega Evolution entries this generation, this is an excellent opportunity to grab the games if you haven't already. But you have some time, as the promotion will reportedly last until June 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, the Pokemon X and Y anime continues airing in Japan, and episode 8 has just been broadcast. Episode 8 is titled "The Pokemon Trimmer and Trimmian!"

This anime episode deals with Ash and co. meeting up with a Pokemon Groomer who struggles with a Furfrou.

Although the Pokemon X and Y anime has yet to make its way to the North America (except for a special preview of the first two episodes), fans can often catch the episodes online with fan submitted subtitles.
