American Horror Story Cast After Jessica Lange Exit: Ryan Murphy Talks Reese Witherspoon, Michelle Pfeiffer, And Michael Chiklis

As "American Horror Story: Coven" continues, much discussion is going into the cast after Jessica Lange leaves the series after season four.

"It ends up being a lot of time during the year being committed to something," Jessica Lange told EW in a recent interview.

"This is a 6-month commitment every year. That will be four years in a row. I want to have more time to myself I guess. Once it's over and I have a full year ahead of me with nothing to do, who knows? It might not have been the best decision. But I think four years doing something is a sufficient amount of time."

With the cast in "American Horror Story: Coven" including Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, and Gabourey Sidibe, the Ryan Murphy series certainly has no shortage of stars.

But once Jessica Lange leaves, who does Ryan Murphy want to add to the cast of "American Horror Story?"

"Well, every year I go to Reese Witherspoon," said Murphy. "I want her to play something really twisted and f---ed up. But she's always booked."

In addition, Murphy would also love to invite Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Chiklis to the cast.

In anticipation of "American Horror Story" season four, Ryan Murphy confirmed that shooting will either take place in New Orleans or Santa Fe.

And while it will be her final season, Jessica Lange will not play the lead, unlike "American Horror Story: Asylum" and "American Horror Story: Coven."
