Upcoming Android Phones 2013: ZTE's Rumored Grand S II Dual-SIM Phone Beats Galaxy Note 3, Xperia Z1, Others In Benchmark Rating

The holiday shopping season is fast approaching and OEMs want to take off their bit of share from the market pie. ZTE, for one has its eyes on the price as it is allegedly working on a superphone that beats even the best the industry has to offer. If you are on the lookout for upcoming Android phones in 2013, then you may want to check out this rumored Droid.

Dubbed as the ZTE Grand S Dual, this is clearly a successor of the company's former flagship, the Grand S, which was released earlier this year. There has not been much information on the Grand S Dual, though a leaked specsheet from a popular benchmarking app showed that ZTE really means business with this smartphone.

According to AnTuTu benchmark as reported by GSM Arena, the upcoming Droid scored an impressive 33,357 points. If that doesn't sound impressive, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with all the power it has, only managed 31,109.

To complete the top four list, Sony's Xperia Z1 logged in 30,850, and LG's G2 got 30,243.

While there have been some issues lately regarding companies which are proven to be tweaking their phone's settings in order to run full speed during these benchmarking procedures, it may be a little too early for ZTE to get in that kind of competition.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Grand S Dual may be running on a Snapdragon 800 chipset, while the phone features a 5" or so display, with 13MP or more camera resolution. And with ZTE's current pricing habits, this could be a very affordable handset that could equal, if not beat the Galaxy Note 3 in its own game.
