Samsung Windows Phone: Allegedly Developing New 5" Handset With Quad-Core CPU, Korean Brand Refuses To Fall Behind Nokia And HTC

There have been a number of Samsung Windows Phone handsets in the past years, though nothing has been able to match with Nokia's Lumia lineup. And the Windows Phone OS's recent surge in Europe and other parts of the world aside from the US, the Korean manufacturer wants to jump on the ship before it takes off in the next couple of years. A report even claims WP devices will outsell Apple's in the next 10 years!

And so a Samsung Windows phone creeps up the rumor mill. In a report by TechnoBuffalo, a phone codenamed as SM-W750V appeared in leaked images and are now making the rounds on the Internet.

The image also states that the device may make its way to India initially, and is priced at 31,967 and 33,245 Rupees, which is about $500.

According to the leaked image, the SM-W750V will sport a 5" screen. This means the phone would most likely come out with Windows Phone 8 out of the box. Previous WP versions do not support screens which are 5 inches or more.

If it does come out with the latest version of Windows Phone OS, the rumored Samsung phone would also get GDR3 update from Microsoft.

Currently, Nokia still owns almost 90 percent of the Windows Phone market, in second place is HTC, and Samsung follows closely.
