One of the highly-anticipated Nintendo game for Wii and 3DS is Super Smash Bros. 4, thus a number of release date rumors are emerging online.

Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U release date is expected to happen sometime in 2014. However, an exact Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U release date has not been provided yet. But one of the recent news about the game indicated that GameStop may have inadvertently leaked Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U release date.

An article on Christian Post, citing GameTillYouDrop, reads, "GameStop put the Wii U and 3DS title on their pre-order SKU with a launch date of April 8, 2014."

Previously, other Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U release date emerged, as posted by Newegg website, which listed the Wii U version of the game to arrive on December 31, 2013. Meanwhile, Newegg posted that the Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS version, priced at $39.99 will be available on May 16, 2014.

But since Nintendo has not unleashed an official statement yet regarding Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U release date, fans eagerly waiting for the game should take all these alleged schedules with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, those who are on the lookout for official news about Super Smash Bros. 4, a fresh detail about the game was revealed by Masahiro Sakurai, the game director. According to him, Skull Kid will appear in the game, not as a playable character but as an assist trophy.
