Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date: It’s a toss-up between 20MP and 16MP, with both camera specs being widely rumored as the next camera feature of the upcoming fourth generation of Samsung Galaxy Note phablets. But a report that claims that a Samsung exec said that a 16-MP ISOCELL camera will be included in future Samsung devices.

According to Highlight Press, a key Samsung executive speaking at a recent conference in Seoul confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a groundbreaking 16MP ISOCELL camera. The new camera specs will deliver the best pictures ever produced by a handset.

The ISOCELL technology is said to use individual pixel isolation and produces picture quality and clarity never before seen in any smartphone. The new camera technology should allow for massive improvement from low-light picture shooting and other very challenging situations.

Highlight Press noted that recent advancements made by newcomers like Nokia and Sony in the area of smartphone camera specs has heightened the stakes for market leaders Samsung, Apple and Google. Early this year Nokia released a Windows Phone-based handset with a 41MP PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization, making the device the smartphone with the best camera in the market. Sony Xperia Z1, the flagship handset of the Japanese tech giant has a 20.7MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is highly anticipated to be released by the September of next year, but many analysts and tech watchers are speculating that we’ll see more rumors of the device’s specs by early next year when the Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress commences.
