John Goodman will host "Saturday Night Live" for the 13th time, making him SNL's third most frequent host, Entertainment Weekly reports. Alec Baldwin has appeared on the show 16 times, and Steve Martin has hosted 15 times.

This 13th appearance will air on the day after Friday the 13th, and John Goodman and Taran Killam take the opportunity to joke about bad luck in the new "Saturday Night Live" promos.

Though John Goodman may be a veteran of "SNL," he appears to break character and lose himself in laughs at the very end of the promo, while sitting in a Christmas tree with Taran! Seeing John cracking up just makes us want to crack up too.

Meanwhile, Kings of Leon will be the musical guest; it will be the band's third "Saturday Night Live" appearance.

Next weekend on Dec. 21, "Tonight Show" host and "SNL" alum Jimmy Fallon will return to host alongside musical guest and previous host Justin Timberlake, Entertainment Weekly reports.
