Homeland Season 3 Finale Spoilers: Is Brody ‘Unkillable’? Or Will Carrie Fail To Get The Father Of Her Baby Out Of Tehran Alive?

The "Homeland" season 3 finale airs this Sunday, and new spoilers tease that Brody may be unkillable - so why are many speculating that Brody won't make it past the season 3 finale of "Homeland"?

The promo trailer for the season 3 finale gives very few spoilers as to what will happen in episode 12. Brody (Damian Lewis) narrates the video, which consists of flashback clips of the "Homeland" season. In his narration, Brody says:

"There's this man in Caracas, he's a doctor, he called me a cockroach. Unkillable. Bringing misery wherever I go. This is about redemption - mine. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not a Marine anymore. I haven't been for some time."

His cryptic words have a foreboding feeling to them that worries us - is Brody really unkillable? Or will his only true path to "redemption" end in his death? We know Carrie will do everything she can to get Brody out of Tehran alive, but will she succeed in rescuing her rumored-father of her baby?

Watch the promo trailer for "Homeland" season 3 finale below, and see if you can figure out what will happen on Sunday's night's episode.

As we previously reported, Damian Lewis has revealed in the past that the "Homeland" writers originally wanted to kill off his character at the end of season 1, but decided to allow him to live due to the growing chemistry between Brody and Carrie, played by Claire Danes.

"I think simply for creative and artistic reasons, the writers want to kill me," Lewis explained. "There are so many compelling and devastating story lines that would just be great TV and theater. . . The more compromised storytelling is to keep him alive and to keep him bubbling along somehow. It's the executives who write that version."

While Lewis didn't reveal any specific spoilers about how Brody may eventually reach his demise on "Homeland," he did say he's fine with the fate of his character whether he continues to live or dies at the end of season 3.

"I'll just see what happens," he told the Rolling Stone.
