Pop culture at its best. “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)” by Ylvis becomes YouTube’s number one viral video of 2013. Alongside the gigantic hit of Miley Cyrus “Wrecking Ball” though not really in the charts, but a different version of the video is in number four.

Things have changed over the past few years as video selections are now different from before. Notice in the past few years there were more funny home videos and more animal videos. But now it’s more of music videos, gag videos and clips from movies and television shows.

“The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)” claims number one spot after getting over 275 million views.

Seen in the official YouTube blog, they posted a message to announce the video of their selection the top videos in their site this year:

"As 2013 comes to a close, these are some of the videos, channels, and moments that shaped our year. While each annual list is unpredictable (what's up, Mr. Miley Cyrus impersonator), trending videos just get bigger each year," YouTube's head of culture and trends Kevin Allocca wrote in a blog post. "And with 80 percent of all views on YouTube coming from outside the US, the global community is driving pop culture unlike ever before."
