Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date For Galaxy S3 LTE Now Rolling Out, Includes Galaxy Gear Support, Better Performance, New Camera Features

Almost a month ago, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date rolled out to Samsung's Galaxy S3's, but users immediately reported issues and so the rollout was postponed for a few weeks. Now that all of the international variants have acquired 4.3, it is now time for the LTE version.

While Samsung has been doing well lately in rolling out later Android versions to its former flagships, it has not done so in an orderly way. As a result, expect the 4.3 Jelly Bean update to reach your handsets within the next few days.

According to GSM Arena, there have been vast improvements in system and graphic performance right after the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. In case you want to know more about the complete changelog, here it is:

  • GALAXY GEAR Support
  • TRIM Support (Makes the device much faster)
  • Core UI elements updated to the ones on the Galaxy S4 (Galaxy S4′s theme all over)
  • New Samsung Keyboard
  • GPU drivers have been updated (Higher GPU benchmark scores)
  • New Lockscreen: Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message
  • New Screen modes (From S4): Adapt Display and Professional Photo
  • Daydream
  • Driving mode
  • Actionable notifications
  • Move-to-SD-card feature
  • New Camera mode : Sound and Shot
  • New Additions in Notification Centre
  • Completely revamped Settings UI (Tabbed interface - Exactly like the Galaxy S4)
  • Implementation of Voice controls (Let's you control various parts of the phone using voice commands - Galaxy S4 feature)
  • New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music
  • Full screen Samsung apps
  • New S-Voice (from Galaxy S4)

At more than a year old, the Samsung Galaxy S3 remains as one of the top Droids in the market, and this update clearly shows Samsung has learned its lesson. Let us hope both S3 versions would get Android 4.4 KitKat in the future as well.
